Frequently Asked Questions for the Defibtech Lifeline AED

How do I change the 9 volt battery in my Defibtech Lifeline or Reviver AED?
How do I test and Inspect my Defibtech Lifeline or Reviver AED?

How do I change the 9 volt battery in my Defibtech AED?

The 9V ASI battery is located in the battery pack in the 9V battery compartment (see below). To install, remove the cover covering the 9V battery compartment by pushing on it sideways. The cover will slide approximately a 1/4 inch and then can be detached from the battery pack. Insert the 9V battery into the 9V battery compartment so that the contacts on the battery touch the contacts in the battery pack. The orientation of the battery contacts is shown in a picture on the inside bottom of the 9V battery compartment. Replace the 9V battery compartment door by reversing the process used to remove the door. We recommend only using 9 Volt lithium batteries for the Defibtech AED.

Note: 9 Volt Lithium battery only powers self test procedures in the Defibtech Lifeline and Reviver AED's. 9-volts battery should be replaced at least annually into Defibtech Battery Packs. DAC-410
